【摘要】:Theasbestoscontentofasbestostextilematerialsisofmajorsignificance,sincethepercentageofasbestospresentdefinesthegradeofthetextileandtheapproximateserviceabilitytemperatureforsuchmaterials.Thistestmethodisconsideredsatisfactoryforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsbecause:(1)currentestimatesofbetween-laboratoryreproducibilityareacceptable,(2)thetestmethodhasbeenusedextensivelyinthetradeforacceptancetesting.Incasesofdispute,thestatisticalbias,ifany,betweenthelaboratoryofthepurchaserandthelaboratoryofthesellershouldbedeterminedwitheachcomparisonbeingbasedontestingrandomizedspecimensfromonesampleofmaterial.Thefactorof0.86isbaseduponameasuredaverageof14%forthelossofwaterofcrystallizationonheatingchrysotileasbestostoatemperatureofatleast800x00B0;C[1470x00B0;F].Thecalculatedasbestoscontentmaybeinerroriftheactualmasslossdiffersfromthe14%average.Ifthespecimenincludescalciumcarbonate(CaCO3),thiscompoundisdecomposedat800x00B0;C[1470x00B0;F]andhighertemperatures.Noothercarbonatesarepresentinappreciableamounts.Ifthetextilespecimenincludescarbonates,thelossofmassobservedduringignitionwillincludethewaterofcrystallizationoftheasbestosandcarbondioxidefromthecarbonates.Ifthespecimenincludesbothcarbonatesandorganicfiberthelossofmasswillincludewaterofcrystallizationoftheasbestos,carbondioxidefromthecarbonates,andthecombustiblepartoftheorganicfibers.Failuretotakeproperaccountoftheselosseswillresultinlowergradingofthematerial.AsbestostextilesasusedinnormalapplicationsarenotsubjectedtoatemperaturewhereCaCO3willdecompose.AnyCaCO3containedwillremainunchangedandassuchoffersexcellentthermalinsulation.Itisthereforeincludedinthecalculationaspartoftheasbestoscontent.Themassoftheoriginalcarbonateandtheresidualoxideformedonignitionofthecarbonateinanyspecimencanbecalculatedfromtheamountofcarbondioxideevolvedfromaknownmassofthespecimen.Thecalculatedvaluesareusedinthedeterminationoftheasbestoscontentofspecimenswhichincludecarbonate.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationoftheasbestoscontentofuntreatedchrysotileasbestostextilematerialswhichareusuallyblendsofasbestosandorganicfibers.Thistestmethodisalsoapplicabletotreatedasbestostextilematerialsprovidedthetreatmentcanbecompletelyremovedpriortotesting.1.2Thistestmethodislimitedtothoseasbestostextilematerialsinwhichasbestosistheonlyinorganicfiberpresent,orinwhichanyotherinorganicfiberorwireusedasreinforcementcanberemovedpriortotesting.1.3Ifcarbonatesarepresent,acorrectionismadeforthelossonignitioninthecalculationforasbestoscontent.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.1.5Warningx2014;Breathingofasbestosdustishazardous.Asbestosandasbestosproductspresentdemonstratedhealthrisksforusersandforthosewithwhomtheycomeintocontact.Inadditiontootherprecautions,whenworkingwithasbestos-cementproducts,minimi......
