【摘要】:1.1ThisspecificationcoverschemicalandmechanicalrequirementsforninepropertyclassesofcarbonandalloysteelexternallythreadedmetricfastenersinnominalthreaddiametersM1.6throughM100suitedforuseingeneralengineeringapplications.1.2Thisspecificationdoesnotcoverdimensionalrequirementsforfastenersofanypropertyclass.Whenreferencingthisspecificationforprocurementpurposes,itismandatorythatsize,type,style,andanyspecialdimensionsoftheproductbeadditionallyspecified.1.2.1Incaseofanyconflictinrequirements,therequirementsoftheindividualproductspecificationshalltakeprecedenceoverthoseofthisgeneralspecification.1.2.2Thepurchasermayspecifyadditionalrequirementswhichdonotnegateanyoftheprovisionsofthisgeneralspecificationoroftheindividualproductspecification.Suchadditionalrequirements,theacceptanceofwhicharesubjecttonegotiationwiththesupplier,mustbeincludedintheorderinformation(seeSection3).1.3Requirementsforsevenoftheninepropertyclasses,4.6,4.8,5.8,8.8,9.8,10.9,and12.9,areessentiallyidenticalwithrequirementsgivenfortheseclassesinISO898-1.Theothertwo,8.8.3and10.9.3,arenotrecognizedinISOstandards.1.4Classes8.8.3and10.9.3bolts,screws,andstudshaveatmosphericcorrosionresistanceandweatheringcharacteristicscomparabletothoseofthesteelscoveredinSpecificationA588/A588M.Theatmosphericcorrosionresistanceofthesesteelsissubstantiallybetterthanthatofcarbonsteelwithorwithoutcopperaddition.See5.2.Whenproperlyexposedtotheatmosphere,thesesteelscanbeusedbare(uncoated)formanyapplications.1.5Whenagreedonbythepurchaser,Class5.8fastenersmaybesuppliedwheneitherClasses4.6or4.8areordered;Class4.8maybesuppliedwhenClass4.6isordered;Class8.8.3maybesuppliedwhenClass8.8isordered;andClass10.9.3maybesuppliedwhenClass10.9isordered.1.6TheproductsizerangeforwhicheachpropertyclassisapplicableisgiveninTable1andTable2onchemicalcompositionrequirements,andthemechanicalrequirementstable(seeTable3).1.7AppendixX1givesconversionguidancetoassistdesignersandpurchasersintheselectionofasuitablepropertyclass.1.8AppendixX2explainsthesignificanceofthepropertyclassdesignationnumerals.
