【摘要】:Thistechnicalreportappliestoanalysersystems.1PurposeofthistechnicalreportThistechnicalreportiswrittenwiththeintentionofprovidinganunderstandingofanalysermaintenancetoindividualsfromanon-engineeringbackground.Itisalsodesignedasareferencesourcetoindividualsmorecloselyinvolvedwithmaintenanceofanalyticalinstrumentation,andprovidesguidanceonperformancetarget-setting,strategiestoimprovereliability,methodstomeasureeffectiveperformance,andtheorganizations,resourcesandsystemsthatneedtobeinplacetoallowthistooccur.Effectivemanagementofon-lineanalysersisonlypossiblewhenkeycriteriahavebeenidentified,andtoolsformeasuringthesecriteriaestablished.On-lineanalysersareusedinindustryforoneofthefollowingreasons.2SafetyandenvironmentOnecategoryofanalysersarethoseusedtocontrolandmonitorsafetyandenvironmentalsystems.Thekeymeasuredparameterforthiscategoryofanalyserison-linetime.Thisisessentiallysimplertomeasurethanananalyser'scontributiontoprofitsbut,aswithprocessanalysersappliedforprofitmaximization,thecontributionwillbedependentupontheabilitytoperformitsfunctionalrequirementsupondemand.2.1AssetprotectionandprofitmaximizationOn-lineanalysersfallingintothiscategoryarenormallythoseimpactingdirectlyonprocesscontrol.Theymayimpactdirectlyonprotectionofassets(forexample,corrosion,catalystcontamination)orproductquality,ormaybeusedtooptimizetheoperationoftheprocess(forexample,energyefficiency).Forthiscategoryofanalysers,thekeymeasuredparameteriseitherthecostofdamagetoplantorthedirecteffectonoverallprofitoftheprocessunit.Justificationastowhetherananalysershouldbeinstalledontheprocessmaybesoughtbyquantifyingthepaybacktimeoftheanalyser,thepass/failtargettypicallybeing18months,althoughitshouldbenotedthatthecontributionoftheanalysertoreductionintheextentofdamageto,ortheprofitof,theprocessunitisdifficulttomeasure.However,thiscontributionwillbedependentupontheanalyser'sabilitytoperformitsfunctionalrequirementsupondemand.Thistechnicalreportfocusesonthecost/benefitsassociatedwithtraditionalanalysermaintenanceorganizations.Inamodernset-up,thecomplexityofanalysersdemandsonoccasiondatafromchemotriciansandscientistswhomaybeownedbyotherpartsoftheorganization,and,assuch,caremustbeexercisedtoincludetheircosts.2.2QuestionsthatneedtobeaddressedWhenconsideringon-lineanalysersystemsandtheirmaintenance,thefollowinglistofkeypointsisusefulinhelpingdecidewheregapsexistinthemaintenancestrategy.Additionally,astructuredmechanismbywhichthe"health"ofananalyserorganizationcanbeappraisedisprovidedinAppendix5.2.2.1.WhatistheUPTIMEofeachcriticalanalyser?(DoyoumeasureUPTIMEandmaintainrecords?Doyouknowthevalueprovidedbyeachanalyserandthereforewhichonesarecritical?Doyoumeetregularlywithoperations("thecustomer")toreviewpriorities?)2.2.2.WhatistheVALUEdeliveredbyeachanalyserintermsofprocessperformanceimprovement(i.e.improvedyieldfigures,improvedquality,improvedmanufacturingcycletimeand/orprocesscycletime,processsafety(forexample,interlocks),environmentalimportance)?(Isthisinformationreadilyavailableandagreedtoinmeetingswithoperations?Isthevalueupdatedperiodically?)2.2.3.Whatisthe"utilization"ofeachcriticalanalyser-thatis,iftheanalyserisusedinacontrolloop,whatpercentageofthetimeisthelooponmanualduetoquestionsabouttheanalyserdata?(Doyoukeeprecordsontheamountoftimethatanalyserloopsareinautomatic?Doyoumeetregularlywithoperationstoreviewtheoperatorsfeelingsaboutthe"believability"oftheanalyser
