【摘要】:Thisstandardappliestohand-heldportableelectricmotor-operatedormagnetically-driventools,intendedforindoororoutdooruse,innon-hazardouslocations,inaccordancewiththeCanadianElectricCode,Part1andtheNationalElectricalCode(NFPA70).Itappliestotoolsratednotmorethan440V(notmorethan250Vfortoolsemployingauniversalmotor).Hand-heldelectricmotor-operatedtools,hereinafterreferredtoastools,whichcanbemountedonasupportforuseasfixedtoolswithoutanyalterationofthetoolitself,arewithinthescopeofthisstandard.Toolswithanelectricheatingelementincorporatedarewithinthescopeofthisstandard,butsuchtoolsshouldalsocomplywithIEC335-1:SafetyofHouseholdandSimilarElectricAppliances,Part1:GeneralRequirements,asfarasitreasonablyapplies.Specialrequirementsforbattery-poweredtoolswillbedeterminedinPart2.Requirementsconcerningmechanicalsafety,however,willalsoapplyforthesetoolsaredefinedinUL745-3andC22.2No.745-3.Specialrequirementsforexchangetypetools(seedefinition2.2(16))areunderconsideration.Moreover,therequirementsofthisstandardapplywhereappropriate.Fortoolsintendedtobeusedonboardshipsoraircraft,additionalrequirementsmaybenecessary,andinhazardouslocations,forexample,whereexplosionsareliabletooccur,specialconstructionsmayberequired.Fortoolsintendedtobeusedintropicalcountries,specialrequirementsmaybenecessary.Thisstandardappliestoaccessoriesandmechanicalattachmentsforusewithportableelectrictools.TheserequirementsareoutlinedinAppendixf.Thisstandardappliestoattachmentsthatcontainelectricalandelectroniccomponents.Inthiscase,theattachmentshallbeevaluatedwiththetoolandadeterminationmustbemadeastowhichclausesapply.ThisStandardappliesto,butthescopeisnotlimitedto:handtools,suchasdrills,screwdrivers,nutrunners,tappers,hammers,impactwrenches,saws,sanders,polishers,buffers,shears,nibblers,grinders,staplers,valveseatgrindersandlappers,cylinderborers,andconcretevibrators;transportabletools,suchasdiamondcoredrills,draincleaners,magneticdrillspresses,pipethreaders,andpipebenders.Thisstandarddoesnotapplytofixedorstationaryelectrictools,gardeningappliances,garageequipment,solderingironsorguns,paintingequipment,floor-finishingmachines,heatguns,orotherequipmentcoveredbyindividualrequirements.CoveredwithinthisstandardareClassI,II,andIIItools.Thisstandardisconcernedwithsafetyandtakesintoaccounttheinfluenceonsafetyofcomponentsnecessarytoachievearequireddegreeofradioandtelevisioninterferencesuppression.
