【摘要】:ThispartofBS8440definestheconceptofamedicaldigitalimagingprofileandthewayinwhichamedicaldigitalimaging(MDI)profilecanbedocumentedinanMDIprofilestandard.ItprovidesprinciplesandoutlinesataxonomyforMDIprofilessubmittedforratificationasMDIprofilestandardstandards.ThispartofBS8440isnotconcernedwiththecontentofanindividualMDIprofile.NOTE1TheexistenceofaprofileclassificationinthispartofBS8440doesnotreflectajudgementbytheBSI/IST/35/-/IVSpecialGroupforMedicalDigitalImagingProfiles(SGMDIP)thataprofileisneededtosupportanyspecificfunctionality.ItmerelyprovidesacapabilitytoidentifyuniquelysuchaprofileandtoenableevaluationofMDIprofilestandards.NOTE2SinceprofilesaretobeproposedaccordingtoneedsidentifiedtotheSGMDIPandaccordingtotheprogressofinternationalMDIstandardization,thetaxonomyistobeperiodicallyupdatedorhavenewpartsaddedinordertoreflecttheprogressmade.Itisalsorecognizedthattherewillbeproposalsfortheextensionofthetaxonomytocoverfunctionswhichwerenotidentifiedduringthepreparationofthisstandard.Theseextensionsmightbeidentifiedbyavarietyofproposersandinvolvesimpleextensionstotheexistingtaxonomyortheadditionofnewfunctionalareasnotcurrentlycovered.TheinclusionofsuchextensionsisadministeredbyfollowingtheprocedureselaboratedbytheSGMDIP.
